“THANK YOU” FROM THE RUMMAGE SALE TEAM 4/29/2025
Donna Medich and I have been co-leaders with the Mt. Carmel Rummage Sale Team these past 3 years. The Lord has answered our prayers for the 2025 Rummage Sale! We relied so much on those prayers asking for the Lord's strength and guidance throughout these past months of organizing. He gave us the peace we needed during the days of the Rummage Sales which we have been so grateful for. Those who entered Mt. Carmel doors were given a positive and joyful reception. We give the Lord all the praise and glory through all of this. We had an incredible amount of money raised to give to several local missions (3) and also money towards the well needed church boiler! Each mission will be blessed beyond what we had anticipated. The official amount raised was $10,111!
Here is the breakdown of where the money will be distributed:
FAMILIES MATTER: $1,500
SALVATION ARMY $1,500
BAGS & BLESSINGS $1,500
CHURCH BOILER $5,000
CHURCH OFFICE $211
CARRYOVER FOR NEXT YEAR’S RUMMAGE SALE $400
GRAND TOTAL DISTRIBUTED: $10,111
The Rummage Sale Team is so grateful for the dedication to all the volunteers who came throughout the week and sorted the new and gently used donations. This would not have happened successfully without all of the additional help we had even on cleanup day.
Boy Scout Troop #435, also assisted with taking tables down from the upstairs classrooms prior to the sale and also assisted taking them back up to after the sale. They also joined in with the other volunteers in packing after the sale. Overall, we had an abundance of volunteers to help with the cleanup, placing the tables and chairs back in the fellowship hall and meeting rooms.
We give a great big “kudos” to John and Martha Price, our church custodians, who graciously mopped the fellowship hall and had the meeting room vacuumed. There are so many we would like to give recognition to, but this letter of thanks would take up so much more space! You know who you are, and thank you all in showing the love of God in your deeds and actions.
With this being said, Donna and I will be stepping down as the lead persons for the Rummage Sale. We thank everyone of you for your dedication these past 3 years in making each year a success, but most of all for freely showing the love of God to all those you came in contact with. If anyone has a heart to continue this wonderful mission, please reach out to me. May the Lord be your guide, and know he is always close at heart.
Respectfully, Donna Medich and Anjie Weller Co-leaders
