This is a time of preparatory worship for children that are ages 3 yrs. through 5th grade that aims to equip them to be worshippers of God. The aim is to prepare them to worship alongside their families and friends during Sunday mornings. The children are prayed for and dismissed after the opening song in the worship space to meet their greeter. Their time of worship takes place in the chapel room upstairs in the church where worship leaders and volunteers lead the children through worship songs, liturgy from the bible, a time of listening of the teaching of God’s word that is age appropriate, and different prayers. The flow of the kid service matches the flow of the adult service. Children are not only given the opportunity to learn how to worship, but to lead different parts of the liturgy and pray. The worship helpers’ model appropriate worship behavior, redirect the children, and assist the Worship Leader as needed. We want to teach our children to love God through Sunday worship!
