A Note from Pastor Mike:  As the pastor of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church, I’d like to invite you to come and share the love of Jesus Christ within a community of loving and caring individuals & families. We seek to serve one another and the communities in which we live, and to do so in ways that are Biblically-Anchored and Christ-Centered. We gather together on Sunday mornings with great excitement and anticipation in meeting the Lord through Scripture, Prayer, Music, and Sacrament. We gather together throughout the week in a variety of ways to live out the charge of being followers of Christ. Please come and join us to share in the building of Christ’s kingdom.  Please don't hesitate to give me a call or stop by the church office.
Pastor Michael Anastas

  • New Adult Sunday School Class - Begins April 24

Join us for “Can These Bones Live?” – an exciting tour of the Post-Exile period in Israel’s history and in Scripture.  This 6-week course will look a the history of God’s people after the destruction of the temple and the exile in 587 BC, their return to Israel 70 years later and the struggles they faced to continue as a people up to Jesus’ time.  We’ll look at Chronicles, Ezra, and Nehemiah for the history, then hear Zechariah, Haggai, Joel, and other prophets help present God’s word for the people.  We’ll see how the stories of Esther, Daniel and Jonah, and the wisdom found in Job and some later psalms and proverbs helped Israel understand its changed relationship with God and with the multicultural world around Israel.  The Post-Exile period and the Old Testament books that came from it will come to life and show us how much we have in common with God’s people of this time.  Feel free to browse through 1st and 2nd Chronicles as a preparation or just come and bring your Bible.

Our teacher will be Scott Colburn from the Church Army, Aliquippa.
